COOKIE PRIVACY POLICY

WHAT IS A COOKIE?
The term “cookie” refers to small text files that websites visited by the user send to their terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored and then transmitted back to the same sites upon the user’s next visit. While browsing a website, the user may also receive cookies from different sites or web servers (so-called “third-party cookies”). This happens because the visited website may contain elements such as images, maps, sounds, or specific links to web pages of other domains residing on servers different from the one hosting the requested page. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device. They serve various purposes, such as efficiently navigating between pages, remembering favorite sites, and generally improving the browsing experience (technical cookies). For example, cookies can be used to determine whether a connection has already been made between the user’s computer and a website, to highlight updates, or to maintain login information.

Cookies come in different types:
• Technical cookies: This type of cookie ensures the proper functioning of certain sections of the Website. User consent is not required for these cookies. Analytical cookies, if anonymized, also fall within the scope of technical cookies. They are used to statistically analyze accesses or visits to the site, pursuing exclusively statistical purposes and collecting information in an aggregated form without the possibility of identifying individual users. There are two categories: persistent cookies, which are not destroyed when the browser is closed but remain until a pre-set expiration date, and session cookies, which are destroyed every time the browser is closed.
• First-party cookies: These cookies are readable only by the domain being visited.
• Third-party cookies: These cookies are sent by domains of third parties external to this Website.
• Profiling cookies: These cookies are used to collect information about the user to send targeted advertising messages in line with the user’s preferences expressed during internet browsing. User consent is required for these cookies.
